The Challenge
Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) needed to modernize its network by transitioning from legacy MPLS circuits to an SD-WAN solution, delivering greater flexibility and performance. This migration required careful coordination to avoid disrupting store operations, as well as planning for upgrades to core switches from Cisco 2960X to a Meraki stack. Additional challenges included preparing rack space and power for new Fortigate devices, managing underlay circuit delivery, and decommissioning legacy Cisco routers—all while ensuring business continuity.
Our Solution
A1 Networking designed and executed a detailed migration plan, scheduling all work outside of regular business hours to eliminate operational disruption. We upgraded the core switching infrastructure to a Meraki stack prior to the SD-WAN deployment. Our team managed the delivery and integration of underlay circuits, installed and powered new Fortigate devices in existing racks, and securely decommissioned the old Cisco routers. Throughout the process, we ensured robust project management and clear communication with YSL's stakeholders.
